Christmas Lights Bokeh

I learned how to take pictures with the Christmas lights blurred, looking like circles. There is a way to make them into different shapes too. I'll have to try that sometime. It looks so pretty.

I have a fence fedish

I love taking pictures of fences! I know, the second one I have posted before, but I had to put it with my "fence collection". I feel the need to take pictures of more fences. I probably have more pictures of different ones somewhere, but these are the ones that stood out. I really need to add to the collection, cause fences are just cool. :)

The H Family

These guys were so much fun. I felt like we went all over town. We kind of did - one place even twice! They were so easy going. Here's some of the pics I liked the most.

I found a GREAT spot for silhouette pictures! These were really fun.

Family

I make calendars for Christmas gifts for my parents each year. This year I asked my siblings if I could take their pictures for it. They were so kind to let me do so!!! I had so much fun. Here's just a small amount of what we were able to get. I had a lot of fun with all of them. It's going to be one cute calendar, thanks to all of those cute people! :)

Beautiful food

Taking pictures of food is always fun. I should really do it more often. If you want to give it a try just put a pretty plate of food - or whatever for that matter - next to a window where light comes in nicely and take it there. This one I actually had a light on in the kitchen I didn't realize. Try both, see how you like it.

Beautiful view

My littlest and I went out to play the other day and took some pics of the beautiful trees changing colors. It was jut beautiful. BUT, it was the middle of the day, so the lighting was not so nice for picture taking. We still had fun though. So even though these pics aren't so great, I just had to put something on here!

This view is so pretty, I took this with the Manual setting:
and then changed it to landscape to see the difference. Interesting.

Another landscape setting.
We went and played by the Green River. We even played in the sand. Perfect fun day.

I will hopefully have some good ones worth sharing soon! :) Happy Fall!!!

Out and about

This one is kind of blurry, but I was using a high f-stop to make it have a sunburst effect, kinda cool!
I think this one is cool in it's own weird way. Really weird, but hey - I'm weird!
Couple different settings in the same spot.

Tree turning to fall,
and a close up of it's pretty little leaves.

Pictures at the Geyser

We went to the geyser here last Saturday and I was playing around with the camera to get some different shots of this cool earth this geyser has made. I've been following this website where this lady Darcy is doing a 31 Days to a better Photo. I've learned a lot from reading her posts. She encourages everyone to turn your cameras to Manual and shoot that way. I've been doing it for a while, but it was good encouragement to keep on figuring it all out. Really fun. Here's what I got:

Cool place huh? It didn't actually go off while we were there - it NEVER has while we've been there. One day it will happen, I'm sure of it!!!!

Love that Shot

I entered this into the Love that Shot photo contest just for fun. The requirement is to have faces in it and I just LOVE these faces. So I'm entering this one. So fun.
I took this with the Portrait setting, I was learning how to blur the background. I used my 55-250 lens.

Fall is here...

Love the changing colors and falling leaves. Just so beautiful.

We still have cherry tomatoes growing. So yummy.
This sweet little thing is just past my back yard. Must take someones pictures here soon! I just think it is so neat looking!
This random post is for my mom. I haven't added anything for a while, so I went out and took these just for you mom! :) It was fun. Thanks for asking. I'll try and get out more often.
